Being the final project in my photo class, we were given complete freedom as to what we wanted to do. I decided I wanted to capture the visual style of the film Drive (2011). I also watched Only God Forgives (2013) and The Place Beyond the Pines (2012). After gathering my research I began shooting every weekend, trying out many different lenses and many different locations. I wasn't sure what I was looking for in terms of an image but I knew that I would know it when I see it. After shooting hundreds and hundreds of photos I assembled together this set of images to create a story of the Driver. The story itself however, I leave for the viewer to create.
